Non EU partner to Switzerland with British Husband - study

Post by rrrjjjmmm » Thu Jun 09, 2011 5:57 am

Hello

My British husband and I are considering a move to Switzerland as I have been offered a job by my company there. I'm Australian, and would prefer to 'own' my visa rather than be sponsored. My husband is completing post grad studies this year in primary teaching, although doesn't know French, so will find it a challenge to find a role, even in an international school.

If he were to enrol in a French language programme through a private school or university, would that be sufficient to demonstrate him exercising treaty rights, and allow me to join him as his wife?

I guess I'm looking for clearer definition of the word 'study'.

Thanks in advance.
