Post by Dino_123 » Thu Jun 24, 2004 10:53 am

Dear Friends

I thank this forum a lot as it has helped me in Getting my HSMP Approved . I got my approval on 5 th may and till now could not find a suitable proof of accomodation for me and my spouse as required for ENtry clearance . This has become very important becaus without this my application for entry clearance is not been accepted .

Any help in this regard will be help ful3

i am from india and you know it is very difficult and costly to book a hotel from here and proof that you have sufficient funds to adjust your self.

The best is to find a friend in the UK who is prepared to let you a room. Make sure that he puts it in writing.

Congratulations dude for hitting the 1K post mark - talk to the powers that be though as the going rate is £10 per post - perhaps a moderator perk  .

Dino,

Do u need proof of address or just address?

B&B just costs only £20 in london.

Dino you don't require any proof of accomodation. Full stop.
You can mention that you will find/search hotel (B&B or other accomodation) thru internet before arrival.

Go ahead and apply for EC.

timefactor,
Where in the London you will find B&B for 20 GBP?
All start from 30-35..
And even in areas like Heathrow they are costlier ....

dino,
if you are an indian /pakistani and don't have any friends in UK then you can go to southhall this is a asian area. All the restaurents are cheap, you can also find some private B&B the rooms may be small but you can get it for cheap( 50% less than the cheapest hotel in london). Also all transportaion is in your reach. From airport to southhall they take 14 GBP.

I hope this information is of some use to you.

Hi,
I didnot show any proof of accomodation, just an address of a Hotel stating that i MIGHT stay there.Your proof of funds play an important role in the EC and not proof of accomodation.
What Ajay says is what i experienced too.
Good luck

Dino,
All these things are depends on where are you are appearing for EC.
Let's the people know where you are applying for EC and try to get other members experiences.

That would help

Puti
