Switching from SEGS to WP - re-advertise required?

Hi all, I wonder if anyone have similar experience like mine.


I am currently working as a Web developer earning 25k in UK under Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme. The vacancy was only advertised on local job postings.

As my SEGS visa expires on Feb 07, I need to obtain a work permit soon, but does the company has to advertise the same position on large medias? This does not make sense, as why should a company need to advertise a position that is already taken?

Or are there any better solutions?
