Age Points for Second Extension on Tier One General

Post by rahmatullah » Sun Jun 12, 2011 2:25 pm

Hi,

I was initially granted Tier One G on Sep 2008 (for three years), however entered the country in Jan 2009. As I understand i need to go for at least 2 extensions to be able to apply for ILR. My query is :

I secured 10 points for age during my initial application, would my age point during the first and second extension be the same 10 points or would it be 10 for first extension and 5 for second extension.please clarify.

Thank you

Tier 1 general extension age points is based on your first application not your most recent. So you should be awarded 10 points.

very valid question.
was not sure about second extn, but even I saw in the extn form that point for age is graned based on your age as on your initial grant of tier-1.
So,you should get 10 points.

On a differnt note, Can any body confirm how long is the 2nd extention?
is it again 2 years?
