INIS always told me the same answers in Past when I inquired about my Husband's application but now this is a repeatedly used tactic that I and my friend use everytime i-e
**FIRST GIVE YOUR OWN REFERENCE # AND WHEN SHE SAYS THAT YOU HAVE THIS THIS THIS CURRENT STATUS THEN ASK ABOUT YOUR HUSBAND/WIFE STATUS THEY WOULD GO STRAIGHT FROM YOUR APPLICATION TO YOUR SPOUSE APPLICATION AND WOULD NOT ASK ABOUT HIS/HER REFERENCE #**

I think they have "Spouse Link" on their computers that's why they do not ask about the reference #.

That is interesting...I have a friend that asks about his wife's application when he calls them up and on EVERY occasion they will ask him to tell his wife to call them herself because they cannot divulge her information to him!

CONGRATULATIONS

I think INIS has replaced the staff with ROBOTS and in the coming weeks dozens of people would get their yellow forms and then their would be a backlog for CON I hope that I would be wrong and you get yours in record time.

GOOD LUCK

HI, everyone... , just after getting my yellow form and would like to share some information with readers of this forum.

I am Ukrainian national, arrived in ireland in 2001. Applied for naturalization based on 5 years residence( based on irish born child). Claimed social welfare only prior getting my green book and since 2002 worked full time.
Sent out application form in december 2007--> reference number( 69/9**/08) received in jan 2008.
Additional documents requested in may 2009 and sent away immediately.
Since then, everytime i rang INIS, they said they were expecting my Garda Report.

In march 2011 got really annoyed and asked my TD to ask parlamentary question (regarding my application). The answer i have received was very official, printed on Dail official paper, but essentially what they said in the letter was : just wait, buddy, there is nothing you can do to speed process up.
And suddenly, this afternoon, as i came back from work, when i opened the door something got stuck under........

There it was...lying on the floor... penalty bill for M50... ,

and two brown envelopes with the harp. One for me and one for my wife.

Dear friends, i would like to thank every person that has left at least 1 post on this forum as this is great reference point for many applicants who are trying to anticipate approval of their applications.

For those who didnt get their approval yet:
1. Deep in your heart you know you ll get it, so stop worrying and concentrate on more important things in your life. (cos you cant speed the process anymore).
2. When you Do get the approval, please drop a line on this great forum

If you have any questions, ask and will be more than happy to answer..

Scrudu, could you please update my record on the spreadsheet..

Pikka, it’s truly appalling. Were you requested any additional documents? Why did it take them so long to request a garda report?
Your husband’s case is just an outrageous example of ignorance and incompetence.. Is there any authority in the EU to report this case to? Something like The Hague Int. Court of Justice or EU Commission?

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF THEM who are getting their approval letter it looks like FIREWORK to me and I am enjoying it
GOOG LUCK folks

Hi Marisa!
Thanks for feeling our Frustration. They never asked any additional documents from me and not any thing from my husband since August 2009. But when I called them in March this year the lady on the phone told me that they are waiting for his reports which was very annoying for me I told her that mostly people applied with him have got their decisions what is happening to his application and why it is taking more than two years to get the reports then she put me on hold and discuss the matter with her other colleagues for about 10 minutes then she said send his financial details which we did promptly and since then they are saying the application is in final stage.

We do not want to go to any Courts or Commissions coz it would only be a waste of time, there is a bundle of excuses available from them to our any point of complaint.
