If your card is lost here than go to your local immigration office explain the situation and get a new one, i think you going to have to pay 150 for it unless you are spouse of EU/Irish visa. If your card is lost in China file a lost report in Chinese police station and keep a copy of it. Upon arrival here immigration officers do ask for GNIB card if they see a longer term visa on your passport but if you have the copy of the report it is not a biggie coz all your detail is on their system (sometimes immigration officers when issuing visa here write GNIB numbers on the back of the passport itself).gaohaixin001 wrote:could anyone help me? I lost my GNIB card yesterday, and I will back to China for 4 weeks holiday(Im a Chinese), Is that card important when I back to Ireland? and how can i get my new card as soon as possible?
you definately need it when coming back if you have stamp 4 eufam, I have it and I am asked many time at the airport.Directive/2004/38/EC wrote:If you have the Irish Residence Card 4EUFam, I doubt it matters for your travel.
You are asked for both a Residence Card (4EUFam) and a GNIB card at the airport?malikscompany wrote:you definately need it when coming back if you have stamp 4 eufam, I have it and I am asked many time at the airport.Directive/2004/38/EC wrote:If you have the Irish Residence Card 4EUFam, I doubt it matters for your travel.
A person's Residence Card (Stamp 4 EUFam) comes in the form of a GNIB card. Or, a "Certificate of Registration" to be precise.Directive/2004/38/EC wrote:You are asked for both a Residence Card (4EUFam) and a GNIB card at the airport?
