Hi...
My employer is applying for extension by switching me to Tier 2. I am now on work permit and will be completing 3 years. I understand that they can extend me under transitional arrangement upto 5 years. But my employer issued COS for three years( which could extend my stay beyond 5 years) and said that sometimes the case worker might give it beyond 5 years period. I am not sure about their claim.
Under transitional arrangement I don't have to provide any proof of english language or maintenance if i have to extend upto 5 years. But if I provide all these documentation with my extension application will they consider to extend beyond 5 years since my COS issued for longer time. Please advise me about this if somebody managed to extend beyond 5 years. Or that they issue visa upto 5 years only irrespective of I give the documentation or not and I have to apply for another extension under tier 2 or apply ILR after 5 years. Any comment will be very helful so that I can decide whether i need to claim points as work permit holder or by attaching the required documentation. Thank you
