monsoon wrote:hi! i am a work permit holder for 5 years and due for ILR tom at PEO. i have seen in the posts here that the employer's letter should also indicate the SOC code etc. for code of practice for tier 2 sponsors.
someone posted that this applies not only to tier 2 but to work permit holders as well.
our HR said that the letter i have from them is enough and if that SOC code of practice does not apply to us because it's only for work permit holders.
my questions are: do i really have to have the SOC code of practice (the job code and that i am earning at or above the rate) included in my employer's letter? if yes, what should i tell the HR to change her mind?
thanks in advance!
All the best with your application and please post your experiencemonsoon wrote:i requested our HR to print me a copy of employer's letter indicating that my salary is at or above the rate according to the code of practice for tier 2 sponsors. she still can't believe that it's needed but i told her i'll use the letter only as a back up. she said my salary is above the rate and that she could not include the specific code because i am on old work permit.
i will be applying at PEO this lunch time! wish me luck!
