Timeline for Naturalisation certificate

Called INIS today and was told tha CoN was sent to Minister TO SIGN in a batch last week. I sent oath, 950 EUROS ...etc on May 11th. any idea how long does it take in Ministers office before I recieve it?

According to dgnly time frame I presume you will receive yours next week or the week after the latest

Hi All,

Does anyone know what is the timeline for CoN , I sent me yellow form last week (21.06.11) the way things are speeding up I hope I might get in 2 weeks time .... anybody want's to shed some light ....

Hi, sent all my documents onMay 11th which makes it 6 weeks tomorrow. Still no news. I called INIS which said it was sent to the Minister to sign two weeks ago. Very frustrating after 37 months wait

I sent my on the 25th of may and it was received and acknowledged in the 26,I am still waiting for the CON and it is 5 weeks now.this system is very very frustrating.

Hi is there any news about this CoN. Why is this taking so long. I have to change my address what can I do to expedite it. Should I call dept and give them my new address. will they ask for more documents now

I hope so! I even took few hours off on Monday morning in case it arrives. Need to travel in early August

They said at post office its 15 working days now for passport.

As I told yuo on 23/06/2011 your CON will arrive on the week after 23/06 or this week the latest
so it took 7 weeks?

Congratulations for recieving the CoN, anychance if you can advise what did you attach for the Long Form Birth certificate when applying for the passport.

1. Original Long Form Birth certificate ?
2. Translation of Birth certificate ?
3. Does the Birth certificate need to be notarized by the country's embassy ?

Actually I am quiet confused with the Long Form birth certificate requirement anychance if you can please share your experience.

Hi Hamza,

I attachedd The original birth cert (with official traslation attached to it) my mother had to get that for me from home (middle eastern country). got it certified at my home country embassy in London (sent it by post) as there is no embassy in Ireland.

the cert I sent is the only document you get back home (no such thing as long/short) for that I added my original passport to the pasport express pack (I know some did that on this forum).

if you are going to get a new birth cert from home get it officially translated there. if you already have it get it translated at traslation companies in Ireland (loads of them). I would recommend context.ie

Regarding applying for the passport after naturalization
should I send my original passport with the application or can I send something else like driving license?
I would need my original passport as I'm going abroad after applying for the Irish passport?
