Past Earnings Evidence - not matching tax period

Post by t » Tue Aug 01, 2006 1:31 am

Hello everyone, I am hoping someone can answer myquestion...
I am planning to aplly for HSMP in coming September 2006.

My question is what to do with the evidence documents for income.
I am currently working in US, and I can submit W2 form (tax doc) and all the pay slips - but W2 is issued only at the end of the each year.
So, "12 months" income does not match tax year period.

I have W2 for year 2005 - this means it shows Jan.2005 ~ Dec.2005 income.
If I send the application in Spetember, do I have to submit income evidence Sep.2005 ~ Aug.2006?
If so, W2 does not help...

What do other people do on this issue?
Or can I submit Jan.2005 ~ Dec.2005 evidence only??

If anyone has a good idea, please help me!
I will greatly appreciate it...

Thank you.

I am in the same situation, but my 2005 W2 shows an income little more than the past 12 Months income so I don't think income mis-match will be an issue

Other than the W2, I am providing 12 month's paystubs printed on company's letter head as my company only provides electronic paystubs and a letter from HR showing the breakdown of my salary since I joined the company 2 years back.

Thank you for the response.
After I placed my post, I found some other similar posts in this discussion board further back.

It seems that many people submit bank statement showing the "payroll" with the company's name, beides pay slips and company's letter.

The problem I have is that I don't feel comfortable with telling my current employer about this... (means I am planning to leave them)
Is your employer happy to help you with it?!

I don't understand this one either--I'm going through the same thing.

I'm not sure how posting bank statements helps. My taxes, etc. are taken out before my paycheck is deposited, so my statements show much, much less than what I actually made.

Tax statements don't show between Jan-now.

So all I have is pay slips.

What else can I submit?
