Yep, see here...

Answer to Parliamentary Question, 18 May 2011

http://debates.oireachtas.ie/dail/2011/05/18/00018.asp
Deputy Alan Shatter: "Currently my Department’s records show that 929 persons who have no current right of residency have applied to have their case to remain in the State examined in accordance with the principles set out in the Zambrano judgment. All these cases require careful consideration in advance of any decision on whether they are comprehended by this judgment. To date, decisions have been made in 102 cases, with permission to remain in the State having been granted in all such cases. The majority of the remaining applications are cases where all the required documentation and information has not yet been submitted and where this is the case, the persons involved have been advised in writing as to what further documentation or information they must submit."

The last day, the Court adjourned all of the Zambrano cases indicating that the State would write to all of the applicants involved.

This is going to take some time unfortunately so you may be waiting a while.

finally got some news for u today - it seems that the Department is writing out to applicants directly (cc to the solicitor) asking for provision of the same documents they were asking of people with no court case - ie original birth cert, colour copy of bio data page of passport, 2 passport photos, evidence that Irish child living in the State, proof of your address in Ireland, evidence of the role you are playing in the child's life, and any other relvent info. So start gathering these! Are you in Ireland now?

And if you have been deported but have a court case would you still be required to send these listed doc? or would rather be asked to present them at embassy, do you know?

I just got one today also - they never asked for anything in that case either. It is strange... maybe because he made an application to revoke the DO before, but it was refused... I don't know. Maybe it just depends which officer in the Dept was dealing with the case - this one was signed by a woman named Adele.

Adjourned to the 10 October. The State barrister said that letters had been sent out in all cases. I know this to be not true, though, a few have not received letters yet.
