No Issue.. go for it.. You can technically apply for extension even next day after getting your first visa..utopia wrote:Hello,
I obtained my Tier 1 general visa in May 2010 under the 2 + 3 years plan. Accordingly, my extension is due in May 2012. Prior to May 2010 I have spent about 2 years in the UK on a Work Permit.
For the sake of piece of mind and proper planning, I wish to secure an extension as soon as I can.
Could someone let me know if there is a limit on how early one can apply for a tier 1 general extension? Would my application be considered if I were to apply for an extension as early as October or November this year, i.e about 7 or 8 months before my extension is officially due?
Regards
It means if you apply in Jan 2012 for extension, the extended date which is normally 3 years or till the completion of 5 years period would start from Jan 2012. But it won't affect you as you already have 2 years period as WP which would be counted towards your ILR period. So even if you get less period like 2 years you would still be able to get to the qualifying period.xeeshan82 wrote:What do you mean suppose some one has Tier1 visa till October 2012 completing his five year 2hsmp+3year tier 1nswapnil wrote:Yes you can make early extension but remember visa will be extended from the date of your application.
