Hello Guys,
Forgive me if this has already been posted.
Lately, there has been so much confusion on maintenance requirements for Tier 1 dependent visa where main applicant has already been in the UK for less than 12 months.
I have got wife and 1 child back home. I thought we need to show following:
Main Applicant (less than 12 months in UK): £800
Dependent (Spouse): £1600
Dependent (Child): £1600
Total: £4000
However, I saw few posts on this forum from applicants where their applications were rejected because they were told that main applicant is required to show £2800 if they are in UK for less than 12 months. So, the calculations would become:
Main Applicant (less than 12 months in UK): £2800
Dependent (Spouse): £1600
Dependent (Child): £1600
Total: £6000
I have checked the policy guidance and nowhere it states that main applicant needs to show £2800 if they are in UK for less than 12 months
Could anyone with the appropriate knowledge shed some light on this.
Thanks,
