Can my wife and child join me?

Post by abel07 » Wed Jul 06, 2011 11:50 pm

Hi,please i would be grateful if someone could enlighten me on this issue.

I have my retained right of residence after the divorce with my EEA partner.

I 'm remarried now(After divorce) and i want to bring in new my wife and my son to live with me here. She is an African and still at her home country.

I am working and not claiming any benefit

My Question is,do i have the right to bring in my wife to join me now or i have to wait to get my PR which i will be due to apply for in September next year?

Thanks and all ideas are appreciated.

Thanks for your response and i will also appreciate some clarifications as regard to when i can apply for PR.

I entered UK with my former wife on 21st march 2007 with 6 months FP from Belgium and i have proofs like tenancy agreement, bills etc from march 2007 but my RC was issued in September 2007 to expire in September 2012 .

I started working in May 2007 and i have proofs to that too.
My ex-wife started working in April 2007 until she left the UK in August 2010(this is not necessary since i have retained my right anyway)

My question is can i apply for my PR in April 2012 or i have to wait till September 2012?

thanks alot and i must commend this site for the great assistance and advise.
