Hi All
My ILR is due for next week, where I have applied for my family - excluding my daughter a new baby born here in UK 3 months ago.
My question is - Hoping my ILR goes through, I am told by many people including moderators here that my daughter who was born here can get a british passport
Can anyone help me with the process of this.
- Is it just to fill up the passport form that I get at the post office
or naturalisation MN1 is also required.
Thanks
VS

You have to register you child first using MN1 form. Once she is registered and gets the certificate then you can apply for her passport based o that certificate.

The timeline for the certificte (MN1) is given in the "British Citizenship" of this forum. I think it takes 2-4 weeks and the passport could also take more or less the same time.

Hi Guys
My ILR is confirmed yesterday
But I would like to know about the process of getting the naturalisation/MN1 for my new born daughter... I had excluded my daughter from the ILR application as I wanted to get her a british passport directly.
Can you please help me with the process of naturalisation/ILR?
Do I still have to get my daughter an Indian Passport?
or just naturalisatino process with my ILR documents are enough?
Regards
Vishal

you can apply for their registration using MN1 form under section 1(3).
Once you get registration certificate then you can apply for their passport.
