Tier 1 General -points based Calculator

Post by sahil20174 » Thu Jul 07, 2011 10:46 pm

Hello Forum

I need your help in filling in the application form for extension of Tier 1 general

My initial Tier 1 general visa was granted on 15th August 2008

My extension is due in August 2011 i was filling in the extension form and i had noticed that i don't get any points for my age as my visa was granted before 6th April 2010

And my current age is 33 years but when i tried with the points based calculator on the homeoffice website it is giving me 5 points for my age.

Iam confused shall i follow the points based calculator or the application form.

Please Advice as i have very less time to apply for the extension.

Thank you

Sahil

The guidance, law and forms all supercede the calculator. You cannot rely on the calculator and it should be used in conjunction with the guidance.

You're not saying how old you were when you first applied, so cannot tell you how many points you get. How many points did you claim when you first applied?

It doesn't have anything to do with your current age. It's about your age at first application.
