Fedex confirmed delivery on 5th July. However CC hasnt been charged yet. I sent email to HSMP team on HSMP.Workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
No reply from their side. I tried calling them on 0114 207 6020 AND 0114 207 4074 but no one attends the call.
Please suggest what should I do to confirm that they have got my documents as I have sent all my original documents.
Regards,
Alee

Received on 19th July
Credit Card charged on 21st July
so far it has been good pace for me
Now I am concerned. I use the exact same original letters that I use t file for US Dept. of Labor certification. Each letters describe the following:UKdestiny wrote: HO refusal quote : "We note that an employer reference was provided from XXX company however, it didnot provide the necessary details, as outlined above, to award points. Without duties & responsibilities we are unable to accurately assess the level of work exp & therefore were unable to award points for this section."
In my US visa petiotion my employer have filed in which my duties & responsibilities being expalined in detail. i dont know why they didnt considered that. atleast they mite have awarded 35 points.
Iam clueless & confused whether to go for review or fresh application with additional documents......
Hi djmozy, djmozy wrote:Just got my HSMP approved today-yay. Timelines:
My letter arrived on the 10th of July
My credit card got charged on the 21st of July (9 working days after arrival).
Approval letter received 5th of August.
Never ever received a confirmation or reference number to say they had received my package.
Be very careful on how you calculate your points for work visa and wife's qualification. Get hold of case worker's manuals from this forum and give it a thorough read. Web developers, programmers and even software engineers are NOT treated as graduate level experiences. As for spouse's achievments you need 3 different proof to show that you have been living together. This thing looks easy but coming from India creates some trouble since we dont have official tenancy lease or council tax statements etc.styleman wrote:Query 1: Anbody here who applied from India and paid using any bank debit card?
I am planning to apply for UK HSMP. I am living in India. I am going to request the follwoing points,
5 points for being under 28
- Date of birth: 12th June 1980
15 points for my qualification
- Bachelor Of Computer Engineering
35 points for work experience
- Web developer: June 2001 to March 2005 (3 Years and 10 Months)
- Senior Software Engineer: July 2005 to till date (1 Year and 2 Month)
10 points for spouse's or partner's achievements
- Bachelor Of Commerce
65 total points
Query 2: I am sure i will get the 65 points, but which is minimum point requirement. Is 65 makes any problem or delay in processing?
Query 3: I am going to request the spouse's point. I am married but 3 month short in 2 years living together. Is 2 years living together condition applied to married couple?
Looking for reply from all of you.
Thanks and Regards,
Nitin Patel

with all due respect dude you need to read the entire manual and not just the summary sections or boldened text. Here is what the guide (v 4.0) says about IT industry occupationsrkc wrote:I am doubtful whether the the author of the above post has himself referred to the relevant caeworker guidance notes before making that statement.Be very careful on how you calculate your points for work visa and wife's qualification. It clearly says that for IT industry they do not consider only the job title or the post but they rely on the roles and responsibilities as documetned in the refernce letter along with the education of the person and this is exactly what I meant. Do NOT rely on your post or job title. Read through the guide completely and you would know what exactly they count as graduate level work experience in IT sector.IT INDUSTRY OCCUPATIONS
General Comments
This industry has a wide range of posts at varying levels. A lot of the
graduate level posts will say ‘would normally require a degree or HND’ but will
also add that people may have the equivalent in experience if they have
worked their way up.
Those who haven’t got the qualifications will usually have started at the lowest
level (trainee programmer – which requires A levels) and they will have
gained the appropriate experience over a longer period of time. So, if an
applicant is in a graduate level job, but does not have the qualification, they
will have had to spend a considerable period of their work experience gaining
the experience. It is very unlikely that they will have entered a company
straight into a graduate level post.
If employees have a degree in another subject then the employer often
arranges some training (it may be in house or post graduate) to enable them
to understand the work.
The caseworker should assess the job description, as quite often you will find
that IT companies will have different titles for jobs. For example, a work
reference may show the job title as ‘Software Engineer’ but the description
indicates a programmer. It is the level of the work the individual does that is
being assessed. This may mean more information is required for clarification.
Below are some of the IT occupations with a brief description of the
role/duties and what level it is. However, this is not an exhaustive list as there
are many other job titles in the IT industry.
Please note: Although the level of the post has been highlighted on the jobs
below, to make it an easy reference guide for caseworkers, they should only
be used as a guide.
Caseworkers should always check the job description against the guidance
for that particular job as the graduate or senior level can sometimes depend
on the complexity of the post.
