I recieved my pp today and got a 27months visa.
It was stamped in AbuDhabi on 4th July 2011.

congrats even my entry clearance was stamped on 04 July on same date and i got 6 month permit then i need to apply there for residence card and i can stay as long as i can they will not ask me to leave UK after 6 months until my wife keep living in UK once again congrats and i book ticket for Saturday

whenever i went to the UK i tricked the immigration officers by asking about the weather outside and telling them how was the weather in pakistan...... and the officer never asked me ANY questions, believe me!
i ll try this again and ll tell u that it worked or not!!!!

Once your passport is returned and visa has been issued, you may leave Pak ON THE SPOT (Of course, provided you have an airplane ticket to accommodate that

) The ONLY time restriction you would have is that you need to try to fly out within the first 3 months, otherwise u will have to apply for Further leave to remain to fulfill your 24 months probationary period in the UK. The visa you will be issued with is valid for 27 months. (24 + 3 = 27).

Guys I think my worst fears are about to be realised, my 12 weeks are due to be up at the end of this month. Ive just come back from PK (after having an awesome time in the heat) with a copy of all the docs that were submitted aaaaand ive noticed a mistake on the VAF4 form, they have filled in a section they didnt need to (section 8.5 other dependants).

No point crying over spilt milk now but assuming ECOs are mini hitlers, the application will get rejected, in this scenario, will we be still able tp appeal? or will i have to send in a new application? rest of my application is pretty damn rock solid tho

I had prepared myself for the worst anyway, but i reckon this is the nail in that damn coffin now!
