Banning private College Students from Work

Post by aviator1903 » Tue Jul 19, 2011 3:21 am

In my personal view it is discrimination, if not entirely illegal to not allow one half of students to not work where as other are allowed. If UKBA is so much concerned, why don't they shut these colleges at once ? Any one have any knowledge if this law has been challenged or going to be challenged in near future, or any petition has to be signed. Thanks.

Your replies would be much appreciated, and those who came at the time when it was allowed and are in mid's of their studies are requested to come forward and share their views.

Now uk is going to become poor economy wise ..they playing with students.

they know every think but they giving hard time to students.

day time they suspend college and later remove and sudden come back

that is joke only joke if college is wrong why not close permanently.

UK colleges already destroy innocents students life.

before they come here for study after get in college see no class no teacher

just fun so students also run away from that system and start earning.

only thing is UK hot favourite in world .evern canada education is cheap then uk

Here are my thoughts, since you are trying to elicit some sort of discussion here by replying to your own post twice:

* The point of studying in the UK is to get a better quality education than you would get back home because of the reputation of the big UK universities (Cambridge, Oxford, Liverpool etc).
* Many colleges popped up in the last 10-odd years with the word "Cambridge" and "college" put in their name, which was done to give the perception of quality, but has nothing to do with the university they are named after.
* Many people now simply choose to study in the UK, not because of the quality of education, but because they can work as well as their dependents and build a life like that. The focus has shifted from studies to living and working somewhere.

I think the government is making their stance clear: come to study in the UK for quality education which you cannot get in your own country. If you are coming to the UK simply to study at a college which you could have done at home, then don't really bother, because you will be worse off.
