overstayer married to a british citizen

just wanted to ask that if a guy is overstayer and married to a british citizen , can he apply for flrm ?? if yes then does the over staying period will effect his application ??

If you don't have a valid visa then you can't apply for FLR(M) extension - (Further Leave to Remain), as you don't have any leave you can extend. Neither does marriage give you any legal immigration status.

typing in overstayer in the search forum section will bring up all situations of overstay.

You haven't specified length of overstay, in country applications to regularise stay may take a very long time, leaving the country and serving out the ban before applying for the spouse visa may be quicker and it also depends on any other circumstances during the overstay, see ukba site for rules also.

hi, i have got the same problem but the only difference is that i have got a baby to my hobi and he has overstayed for 3yrs and we re married dont know what to do and what to apply for.does any body have a similer proble or idea on how to solve this big problem??

As Skyepark has said it may be quicker for him to return to his country of origin and apply for a spousal visa.Overstaying will not be held against him in these circumstances
