No difference. The PO just sends the application to IPS to get processed.varun wrote:1. If we go for check and send, does smaller city's have faster processing times compared to london
Need to send original.2. Do we need to send the original current passport with the application or can we send notarised/certified copy of passport like we send while making an application
Yes but it is a longer process. You will also need to attend an interview as well as this is a first passport application. see more info here3. Can we apply for passport at an UK embassy abroad once we finish the ceremony in UK
What are you after? The process of applying for first passport abroad? FCO website is quite clear and also explains what is needed for first passport applications. Where do you plan to apply from? Depending on the country you plan to apply from, the process might be slightly different. You won't be the first one to apply for a first passport from abroad (although this is usually people living abroad born to British parents than people naturalised as British).varun wrote:I tried emailing the FCO and they asked me to get in touch with IPS and so far i have not had a confirmation from either of them about the process
The Direct Gov website says yes, but when i mail them they are not confirming it. So would like to hear from anyone who has done this or have a confirmation about it
