I will be eligible for ILR by Nov 19th 2011, so i can apply from Oct 19th 2011.

How quick can I take Life in the UK test?

One of my friend says we have to take this 2 weeks before we apply for PR.

Can you please confirm this, any homeoffice link please?

The instructions are not to take the test without leaving 2 weeks between the test and your appointment if you are applying at one of the PEO's. It can take that amount of time for the results to be added onto the UKBA system.

A small correction - min. 2 working days gap (not 2 weeks) between test and PEO appointment.
Life in the UK test wrote:The test centre will also notify us electronically within two working days that you have passed the test.
