It mean husband and wife should live together, have children together like a normal family. Sham marriage dont intend to live together.

Thanks for your response, he has been married for 3.5 years and he has lived in the uk with his wife and child for over a year.if he qualifies for a right of retention is it automatic or he has to apply for that to the home office, i am thinking right of rentention is an automatic thing and he doesnt have to make any new application since his permit is still valid till 2015. but i want to be sure.any advise will be appreciated
