my husband landed here on Sunday, immigration asked him for his TB certificate and took him to another room to check his arm for something??

They also asked what visa he's here on but he didn't understand so they called somebody to interpret for him!

anyway alhumdulilliah he is here now x

my visa issue in abu dhabhi and it was stamped on 19 f july

yes it is 2-3 working days.

Naila, raja's visa is a family permit, hence 'family'

My nikah nama was already in English and registration stamp is on it. Still they made an excuse may be to delay the process. Yes i am going to take letter from Union council plus a letter from the Nikkah registrar on his pad. And also get Nikah nama attested with foreign affair authority. Is anything else i can do except these two letters to prove the validity?
I am hopeful that the decision will be overturn and case will not go into court. How long do they take to overturn the decision? Is it 3 months time? Thank you everybody for their support. I really appreciate all valuable members of this form. And Congratulation to those who got visas.

Sorry to read about the refusal everyday all that wait for a lousy refusal, so annoying! What anjum suggested, give that a try. If your Nikah Nama was in Urdu then have it attested by a reliable source. Basically not leaving any scope for gaps.
At this moment of time, whilst you are indeed upset about the refusal, just keep your focus and submit the appeal and then maintain sabr, inshallah ur refusal will be overturned!

You should be ok for 3 months, might even be quicker.

When I got married, I do remember it took a few days for it all to be registered, then i got the urdu certificate translated into english by my Fater in Laws law firm. I guess they were looking for a reason to reject you, just bear with it and you will get a quick result.

Keep in your mind that you only have 28 days to appeal.

Maybe the following might help someone with their application, this is what we submitted!

We got married in Feb and I stayed for 3 weeks, and the application was submitted in May.We got engaged a year previous.

Personal contact :

12 months worth of SMS and Email prior to getting married (about 100 pages!!!!).
Last 12 months of O2 mobile bills, showing SMS and odd calls.
Call logs and SMS after marriage (4 weeks worth)
Photos's of marriage (4 off)
Photo's of us together at a few tourist spots after marriage (4 off)
Wedding cards from both sides.

Financial,Accomodation and Job.

Letter from solicitor stating I own said property outright.
Land registry info from internet.

12 months worth of Bank statements
12 months of Payslips
P60
Letter from employer, showing position and length of service (11 years)
Business card

Proof of language capability.

BSC degree cert and marksheet
MSC marksheet
Letters from both institutions stating medium of language was english.

Please note none of the courses appeared on the Points based calculator, despite the fact the MSC was from Quaid-i-Azam uni.This did worry me so in preparation for the Appeal, i got in contact with UK naric and the MSC was equivalent to UK bachelors

Finally we included the Nikah Nama in Urdu and a attested translation and a sponsor letter which was a statement from me and a explanation of everything we had attached.Oh and copies of Passports,nicop cards and birth certificates.

Its easy to say, but try and relax, this weekend gone i spent pretty much having kittens, so i understand, inshalah it will be ok.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS

to all those who have been granted VISA!!

I'm still waiting been telling Hubby that today might be our day (fingers crossed) He's just waiting patiently while I'm going through mixed emotions. Just going to have to wait and see what's in store for us.

On Tuesday what is the expected time for the status to change or to receive a SMS???

My timeline was:

Submitted Application: 25th May 2011
Under Process: 8th June 2011
Sponsor (me) contact: 13th June 2011
Email decision: 18th July 2011
Ready for collection: 22nd July 2011
Collected: 25th July 2011 - GRANTED
Passport was stampted 14th July 2011

It took 8 weeks in total.
I will provide a list of documents I submitted as they might help someone later on today as at work now!

I have known my husband for a while and we got married in April 2011. I returned to UK in May and we submitted:

Evidence from my husband (applicant):

1) Marriage certificate (original, English and Nadra)
2) English Certificate
3) T.B. Certificate
4) Mobile records just for May 2011

Evidence from me (Sponsor):

1) Covering Letter
2) Sponsorship Form and Undetaking
3) Full Passport copy certified
4) NICOP Card certified
5) As I live with family, I provided Land Registry office copies, Statutory Declaration from parents, mortgage company statement, council tax bill
6) Land Registry copies for own property which is currently vacant (but did explain in covering letter that we will live there in future)
7) Letter from employer

Wage slips for 8 months
9) Bank statements for 7 months
10) P60
11) Evidence of other savings
12) Letter from HMRC
13) Letter from mobile phone company confirming number
14) Mobile records from June 2010 to March 2011 showing sms and calls 15) 1 greeting card
16) Copy travel ticket
17) Wedding Photos (my husband only submitted 2)
18) Wedding Invitation Card
19) Previous travel ticket copy (proving when we originally met)
20) Uptodate mobile records for May 2011 showing calls and sms
21) Calling cards
22) VAF4 Form

I completed the VAF4 Form myself and so knew the answers. When BHC called I was able to give the identical answers.

Just a question to those who have achieved a successful visa application - did you get a solicitor to help complete the form? Another words, in hindsight, would you havd used a solicitor to help sort the visa application? From reading on this forum, i'm thinking twice now in hiring a solicitor to sort out my paperwork.
