Short couple of days from 4 years and 11 months...

Post by asdf786 » Mon Jul 11, 2011 2:02 pm

Hi there,

I am short about 3 days of 4 years and 11 months. Would i be able to apply for ILR or i have to apply for tier 1 Extension.

First Entry: 22/04/2008 to 22/04/2010
Entered UK: 10/05/2008 (About 17 days later)
Second Permission: 09/04/2010 to 09/04/2013

Ideally they should give me permission upto 22/04/2013.

thanks

you should not apply for 2nd extension.

Instead write a letter to UKBA and send your passport to them.
They would correct the date as 22/4/2013

There is a separate unit for correction of mistake.
I ll trace the address and let you know.

I got my passport back with the correction done. thanks... But there are some points needs to be discussed?

1- My wife visa isn't corrected. Is it because the visa was issued from Abu Dhabhi? and i need to send passport back to Abu Dhabi?

2- The cover letter says that your visa dates are corrected but you delayed you entry, so you many not be eligible for ILR. Which is strange.. I delayed only 18 days. I think he just mentioned it just for nothing.... What do you think? You can have look my dates above.

3-My friend just confused me that you still not have qualifiying 5 years as you entered on 10 May 2008 and you should have leave until 10 May 2013 Whereas i have only until 22/04/2013.

thanks

Hi Vinny,

thanks for your links. Its seems you are suggesting that my wife should also send back the passport and it will be corrected.

I called home office and talked on line option 3 (redirected to 3 from 4) and the lady didn't ask me anything like case id or ref number but guided me properly. She said send back the passport explaining that my wife visa also be changed.

Your suggestions on this?

I sent my wife's passport on 4rth of this month for correction and still waiting for any response. Almost 3rd week. Whereas my passport was sent back exactly after one week? Any idea?

And also is there any way to check the progress and when the documents will be returned?
