oneway

I do not really see any pattern in here. HO seems all messed up and seems to work very random. There is absolutely no gurantee when your app would be picked up and processed. All you can do is hope and pray lol!

Oh and mine is an In Country applicatio anyways :-)

Congrats lanwarrior, finally the efforts paid off!

Hi,

I am from India & under 28yrs and i had to show my salary 5000+ GBP.
My case is rejected on the basis of salary.
I just wanna know what you have shown in that section, i had sent the following:

Last 12 months salary statements (verified by present employer)

Last 12 months ORIGINAL bank statements

Last year INCOME TAX PROOF (that contains salary from April - March cycle)

An attached excel sheet showing "how to calculate my salary"

I have shown that i had earned 5392 GBP but they have calculated as 4717 GBP.

And heading which were included in my salary slips are:

Basic
HRA
Conveyance
Special pay
Non taxable amount
Bonus
Leave encashment

bonus -> we get this in the month of JAN on the basis of our performance

Non taxable amount -> in this section , we have to give bills (like fuel bills / medical bills / magzine bills )

Special pay -> this we get when we havn't submitted required bills , then our company deduct tax on that left "Non taxable amount " , and gives that left amount as special pay at the end of financial year (in march)

Leave encashment -> this we get on our earned leaves , at the end of financial year(in march).

Can you pls suggest me where I have gone wrong ???

Ok,

I stayed awake last night and called +441142074074 at 9 AM their time, 4 AM my time. I got through immediately and I was told that my case was approved on the 16th and that they mailed me the documents the same day. I tried calling the 6020 number but could not get through.

Now, I am not sure if this is accurate because rkc said that these guys do not share the decision over the phone. I am confused. I haven't received my papers yet.

Am I approved or not?

difference between phone number 4074 & 6020

Post by maar » Tue Aug 22, 2006 1:28 pm

Phone number 4074 is an IVR box, so it can queue up and keep in wait 'n' number of calls when the customer service officers are busy and connect when they are available.

Where 6020 is a single direct line and it will get connect only when the phone is kept down. So to get 6020, you must be lucky to get connect when the officer keeps the phone down, I got connected many times before after continuously trying for nearly 5 to 10 minutes without break.

Just my analysis, not 100% sure

all the best to all of you

cheers...Maar.

Woo-hoo!!!

I am approved indeed!!

I called back the 4074 number today and this time the agent said that he could not tell me whether I was approved or not but a decision was made and my papers were mailed out on the 16th.

I then followed Maar's advice and kept trying the 6020 number and after about 10 tries, I got in and this time I officially received a confirmation that I was approved!

Good luck to all those waiting.

In UK application

Claimed 95 points

25 - Degree
35 - Work Experience
25 - Earnings
10 - Spouse

Awarded 75 - i dont know where and why cause the approval letter just says you met the criteria and got over 65 points..

The person i spoke to told me that i was awarded 75 points and i never asked any details

HI all

Post by vorionsanty » Sat Aug 26, 2006 8:16 am

HI ALL ANY SUGGESTIONS OR COMMENTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

I applied for HSMP on 22Aug2006.
Still waiting for the Ref No.

I claimed 5points-Age under 28
I claimed 25 points for my MS(1year) from Australia in Telecomm. Engg.
I claimed 35 points for my Graduate level exp

I worked while i was in 4th yr of my Btech for 1yr6months then i got my visa to Australia for persuing MS there.
I workd there for 1year as Technical Sales Representative in an Australian Company.
Then I came back to India in Nov2004 started working in India from Jan2005 to till date i.e.,1yr 8months

so totally 4years and 2 months till the date applied.

So guys what do u think about claiming the points.
That would be appreciated.
Fingers crossed.
