Employment status for Tier 1 Dependent application

Post by kancan » Wed Aug 03, 2011 9:39 am

Hi all, got the following questions regarding the employment proof of the main applicant already in UK applying Tier 1 General Dependent Entry Clearance for wife and kid overseas.

1. Can the applications for both wife and kid be submitted at the same time with double fees, two VAF10 forms but a single set of documents?

2. When the main applicant already in UK provides the employment proof, is the letter from the employer necessary or does he just need to provide the payslips?

3. Must the main applicant in UK have already finished his probationary period with the permanent job employer at the time his wife and kid apply to be his dependent?

Thanks

There is no requirement for the Tier 1 applicant to be employed when applying for his dependants.
