There isnt a test just for A1, you will need to do an Ielts/toefel/pearson/cambridge type test. all the approved courses are on the UKBA website.

Ielts is ok, you dont need to get the highest level.

Try this one.

To do the A1/A2 you need to do the KET course with them

Salam, everyone

I just thought I let people know about the New English Langauge test
Many test centres are now closed in Pakistan. As UKBA have written a new lsit of approved test centres.

UKBA are no longer accepting the written English test.
Must be on computor.

The best English Language test for people in Pakistan is the following

TOEIC - ETS - National Testing Service
Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC)
Educational testinf service (ETS)

TOEIC Services UK Office
ETS Global UK
707 High Road
London
N12 0BT
Tel: 0208 446 9944
Fax: 0871 978 7521
Email: admin@etseuropeuk.org
Website: www.uk.toeic.eu
Website: www.ets.org/toeic

These tests are approved by the UKBA
They are found in most cities and towns in Pakistan
including Dadyal and Mirpur City

I emailed them and they gave me this;

I have told him yesterday that we do have test centres available in dadyal, Mirpur.....

Thanks

I hope this helps people

One thing for KET is that they only do the paper based KET exams at Grafton college and not the computer ones. That means that they have no test till November!

No i got it wrong the test centre only does pearson PTE for students. They apparently conduct the TOEIC tests or trinity college A1 for spouses.

I asked Trinity college in the UK and they said there is no Trinity College test facility in Pakistan yet.
