Acknowledgement of application

Post by hohbfa » Tue Jul 05, 2011 1:21 pm

I have posted my citizenship application on 13th June and track on anpost, seems they have received my application on 14th July but still I have not received any acknowledgement for my application yet.
How long normally it takes? It is more then 3 weeks now.
What you guys recommend, Should I call immigiration for this type of query?
Is anyone applied recently and received acknowledgment?
Do they post the acknowledgement as registered post ot normal post?

Sorry for lot of questions

It usually takes between 3 to 5 weeks. And they send it in normal post. I'd suggest you to wait for few more weeks.

I have sent on 13th of June as well. Still haven't got either reference number or documents for correction.

Please, post in this thread, when you receive the reference. I will do the same.

You can get online if you have registered the post.
http://track.anpost.ie/track/trackone.html
once you entered the number its will give you the option to send to your email . I am not sure if your tracking will still available after 4 weeks it will be removed . however you can ask anpost to provide if they agree .

Seems like my reference number arrived yesterday. As I am traveling at the moment, will confirm with my flatmate today.

Applied on 13th of June, so it took 7.5 weeks to get a reference number

Yep. My flatmate has just sent me a scanned copy of a letter with reference number confirming that my documents are now in the queue. So, 7.5 week indeed...
