rollingstar wrote: hi,,, First i would like to congratulate u that you have got your RC. I wanted to know what documents did you provide with your EEA2 form??? I am tier4 student and have visa till December 2011. I am Pakistani.
My documents were:
My UK college visa letter, College Certificates, student of the year award from college, bank statement showing that me and my wife live at same address, my Passport.
My EU wife documents: Passport, Home office letter showing that she is exercising treaty rights in UK, Payslips, Employer contract, bank statement, tenancy agreement, utility bills, Marriage Certificate, Marriage photos and other relationship photos.

My timeline is:
Application sent to HO on 22/07/2011 by recorded delivery.
EEA2 application received by HO on 25/07/2011
COA: Still waiting.

Now can you please tell me what documents did you attach??? And one more thing my wife she booked the holidays on 18/08/2011. So thats why i attached a letter with the application requesting my wife passport back only because i don't my passport to be back because then they will issue me separate RC on letter not attached with my passport as u know. Thats why i only requested her passport to be back on 5/08/2011. Today is 6/08/2011 but i have not received her passport back. As i know she booked holidays on 18/08/2011 so still have time. So should i contact HO to remind about my wife passport and about my COA.
Reply.
Thanks.
Hi rollingstar, first of all let me clarify that I have only received CoA so soon and am still waiting for RC. I had simply sent what's on their list:

Our passports
Marriage certificate
My EEA husband's payslips
plus my Tier4 ICFN

Our marriage was only registered in mid July this year, I don't think it'll cause any complications.
To be honest what you sent sounds too much to me... UKBA says not to send what's not required as this may cause delays. However I understand you wanted to make sure that your relationship appears genuine.

As for the passport return I'm not sure if it's possible before CoA is issued, so best to ring them on the number given by Qman.
Best of luck.

Tacka! glad to see same case as mine. I'm korean and married to swedish. So I can understand your username as well. Me and my spouse is preparing EEA2 but haven't sent the documents yet.

One thing I am worried is that my spouse belongs to self-sufficient category and I am a student currentlyl. So we need to provide private health insurance.

Looking at the documents many of you have sent, makes me somewhat relif. Once I send my document, will update here too. thanks.

Still waiting as well. My time table is in my signature. Those folks getting their RC returned within 6 weeks gives us hope for a quicker turnaround. However, most people have been receiving their RC about 90 days later, so I'd be happy if I got mine before the 2nd week of September as this is what I've been prepared for. Anything before that would be a bonus!

imraniqbal could you please tell me, how do you manage to get progress update on your application? i called almost everyday and they kept refusing to give any update as it has not been 6 months?

I even made a scene shouting at the person who had to give an email to complain but no update.. I am really surprised when people say that they had an update especially the ones whose applications have been submitted 2 months ago???????

my timeline is;

received by UKBA 26 May
coa received 24 june
RC.......

Try your luck by requesting the id or passport of your spouse. It really works most of the cases.
I wont take risks after i waited 2 and half months. the luck has nothing to do with!

You are assuming they will have it done after three month, you know they can keep your stuff for 6 months... Look at other post from April and May that are still waiting now.

Good Luck to everyone still waiting.

What's bad is that they had your RC ready after two and a half months but don't want anyone to know it can be done any sooner than THREE months.

Hopefully, THIS journalist that's gone on hunger strike can shine a spotlight on the HO's inadequacies and they just clear their backlog and start issuing RC at a rate similar to other EU territories regardless of the "Six month rule"

It's just being willfully slow for no justifiable reason.... Don't get me started.

I just cant believe that there is almost a month between the issue date of RC and delivery date to the applicant. This is unacceptable!

I am really tired of this...

Congratulations by the way!

I don't know why it took so long for them to send the RC. They probably had a backlog. My COA got lost in the post when I sent it off for a potential job offer. I sent ukba a letter requesting for another copy on 05/08/2011. Am guessing that's what made them send the RC
