ECM review timeframe

Post by starky » Fri Apr 23, 2010 11:20 am

Hi everybody,

I am new to this forum. My spouse's settlement visa was recently refused from Delhi. We lodged an appeal 4 weeks ago and are still waiting. We believe the ECM will overturn the descision and are waiting for this to happen.

Does anybody know how and when we know that the ECM has actually reviewed an appeal and made the descision ?

We don't want to wait for months to find out that our case is forwarded to AIT.

Many Thanks.

What makes you think he will overturn the decison. Its very rare for such things to happen unless the ECO cocked up big time.

Normally they dont inform you if they have not overturned the decision. All the ECM will do is to ask AIT in UK to set a date for a hearing. AIT will then write to you giving you a rough idea of when the expected hearing will take place( normally 6 months down teh line).

How quickly the ECM might be able tp review your case will depend on how busy he is . This can on average take 6- 10 weeks after lodging of appeal.

All, I have applied for TIER4 visa,

My application was refused. I have appeal for admin review.

I will let other people know about my status and time frame. I search lot of for Admin review time frame but only this site was help full.

I have one strong recommendation for people who have urgency and have solid chance of Success Admin review.

I recommend to file new application in-stand of waiting. New application reply time is faster normally 15 to 20 days. But review takes time 25 to 28 days to know the decision of ECM and another 30 days to get STAMP on passport.

I will keep posted about my Admin Review updates.

Thanks

Spousal settlement visa

Post by Docnav » Fri Oct 07, 2011 11:20 pm

Just wondering what happened with the guys who have submitted application forms on behalf of their wife.

Unfortunately, my wife's is refused and am planning to appeal it. I am on ILR status and she applied as my dependent from India.

I appreciate any advice from the experienced ones about the appeal process and time lines.

Thank you
