Tier 1 Visa extension | PBS Migrant Reference number

Post by abhishek0909 » Thu Aug 11, 2011 9:52 pm

Hi,

I applied for my Tier 1 visa through VFS in India in 2008.
I am applying for extension now. My query is related to the entry B14
on the application form regarding previous PBS Migrant Reference number.

Is it the VAF application number on the visa page? If not where can I found this information.

Thanks
Abhishek

Hi,

Thank you very much. Lets hope UKBA will not consider it as "incomplete application" if left blank.

Moreover, for initial grant of visa - I was not known how many points have been awarded for my visa.

Is there any way I can know those points awarded during Tier 1 visa grant ?
If yes, please share your valuable inputs.

Since the same points points for age and qualifications will be carried out for extension as well.

Suresh

Hi Sureshep,

I find it strange that you didn't get the letter stating how many points you got in each category to get your initial visa, and I also find it strange that you can't remember how many points you scored in each category, seeing as you had to send documentation for every category to claim the relevant points.

Regardless of that, if you read the relevant sections in the policy guidance that correspond to people who made applications at the time you applied for your initial visa, you would know the exact points you were awarded for age and qualifications.

Kind Regards

Hi,

Thank you very much for your valuable inputs.

I remember - I had been scored for 20 points for age, 35 points for qualifications which I included in covering letter.

Out of interest, I was keen to know if I can get that letter which discribes approval note and points being awarded.

regards,
Suresh

Hi Sureshep,

Good to know that at least you have the information. It will help put everything in perspective for your extension.

In terms of the letter which describes the approval note, I always believed it came as standard, because I have always gotten a letter from UKBA for my visas.

Probably someone else can advise on the letter issue, but you could probably write to them or call them and request for it if you really want to. I am sure they have it in your file.

Good luck and kind Regards

I just applied for extension last week and got within 2 hrs. ---

I did not enter anything there, not needed if you don't remember - it will not be considered as incomplete.

Tier 1 General Visa extension

Post by abhishek0909 » Sat Aug 20, 2011 11:20 am

Hi,

I recently sent my application by post for visa extension.
I have received an acknowledgement letter with a reference number but the letter does not mention anything about booking an appointment for biometric
details.

Will there be another letter for booking a appointment for biometric details ?

Thanks
Abhishek
