ILR question

Hi All,
Hope someone can help me. Currently on Tier 1 General, I am going to apply for ILR in last week of March 2011. My wife's dependant visa, who came 6 months late after getting her entry clearence, is going to expire in March 2011 same as mine. Now my quetion is , when I will apply for my ILR, can I apply for wife's ILR at the same time? Or she has to complete her two years in UK? If so, what visa I should apply for her to extend her stay?
