ILR Approved WP+HSMP+Tier-1 (+2 Dependants) - PEO Solihull

Post by ssh4478 » Fri Aug 12, 2011 3:22 pm

Hi All,
First of all thanks to everyone who contributes to the forum. This forum has been really helpful in preparing my application.
I had an appointment at Solihull PEO on 9th Aug at 11:15.
We reached there at 10:00and they allowed us to come in.
Went through the security check that many people have mentioned previously.
Got our ticket at 10:05.
Our number was called at 10:10
Caseworker asked for the following documents
All Passports (Myself and Dependants)
Last 12 months Bank Statements
Last 12 months Salary Slips
**(I claimed points for salary from Jul'10 to Jun'11 as I didn't receive the bank statement for the month of Jul'11)**
Life In The UK test certificates (myself and wife)
Employer Letter
Last 2 year’s proof of cohabitation
Photographs of myself and dependants
I provided all the required documents.
Caseworker did few checks on his system and told us that everything looks fine and we can come and collect our passports and documents around 1 PM. He asked me to make a payment at the next counter before we leave.
I paid 2700 by debit card.

It was 10:30 AM when we left the office almost 45 mins before our scheduled appointment. The whole process took only 20 mins.
We went back at 1:00 PM but the person at the main door told us that it will take some more time and asked us to come back after half an hour. We returned again at 2:00 PM but still it wasn't ready so we decided to wait inside. Finally at 2:30 PM our number was called and we collected our Passports with ILR stamped together with all original documents (except employer letter).
Not sure why they didn’t return the employer letter. It could be mistake I think.
The whole process went smooth. It was a great relief :D

Congratulations.

At what stage you were asked to make payment of fee?

I paid 2700 by debit card.

Why did they ask for photos? What photos did you show? Were they recent ones? I didn't think they were necessary.

Our appointment is in a couple of weeks at Solihull

Not sure why they ask but CW just want to confirm if the submitted photos are recent ones or not.
He was satified with my answer that they are few days old.He didn't bother to look at the photos at all.
Hope it helps.
