Timeline for Naturalisation certificate

Sent yellow form and postal order on 18 July received acknowledgement on 12 August.
Hopefully this does not mean that six weeks starts from 12 August and not 18 July.

hi there. i sent in my yellow form, 950e bank draft, GNIB card, photos and cover letter by registered post on July 14th, 2011 and just received my letter of acknowledgment on August 15th, 2011. it still means we wait...but it shouldn't be too much longer. i've been waiting for 13 years...what's a few more weeks:)

I am afraid we will have to wait for another 4 weeks since acknowledge letter for the CON because of ministers holiday, ceremonies and luck of officers in CON section at the moment

I sent my form on 14 July but nothing yet.

I applied on July 6th, acknowledged by DOJ 5th August.
It took exactly 6 weeks to get the CON after sending the yellow form.

Does anyone know do I need to send original CON for passport ?

i submitted it on 1 of July got the acknowledgment around 10 of august so its been 7 weeks and nothing yet ............

as update to my application.
I got my CON on 22/08/2011
I took the oath on 13/07 and sent everything on 14/07
good luck to all who are waitting and congratulations to everyone who received his.

going to apply for the passport early Septemebr as I'm away on holidays now.

just got my CON today be reg. post the time line is:
application sent- march 2011
acknowledgement received mid of May
Got approval on 14 June
Sent the yellow form on 1 July
Received CON 23 August
Thanks guys for all ur support by answering the queries,going to apply for the passport now.

Just question guys regarding my passport application
as my brith certificate is in other language than English so I translated it with a certified translation.
my question is which birth certificate should I authenticate from my country's embassy, the translated version or the original one?

I am in the same situation as you are.I have checked the DFA website-http://dfa.ie/home/index.aspx?id=84782 and there is no information about you have to authenticate your Birth Certificate.As far as I see you have to sabmit original Birth Certificate and certified translation of one.
