A quick question for Batleykhan or anyone else. I have a friend whose appeal is at the end of this month. He has applied for his wife's spouse visa and this was rejected due to contact and employment. He has been married for 2 years and could not apply due to 21 years old rule and when submitted application did not provide evidence of contact. He can deal with this point now.

The concern he has is that he is self-employed taxi driver and jointly owns the business with family. He suffers fro severe deafness and what should he provide to the court to satisfy them of employment. I informed hom he should provide accounts from accountant, evidence from HMRC that he has been paying tax, confirmation from family of him owing joint business. Would anyone recommend anything else?

Thanks

Salam Brother Shahid,

I am really disappointed to see your son's case status. I applied for my daughter's settlement visa in BHC Islamabad on 7th July. God knows what will happen........

This is my first application. Hubby submitted it on the 31st May 2011 at Islamabad. 3 days after UKBA4 and I'm still waiting.

We havn't been contacted by BHC, so still have to wait and see what happens.
Ok I am roughly a week after you, so please keep me posted. Is it always 12 weeks the max in Pakistan? Or could it exceed the 3 months time frame???

It's a long wait.. Inshallah better days to come :)

Inshallah will keep you posted :)

After nearly a year since applying my fiance has finally got his visa! It feels quite surreal now as we thought back in August 2010 everything would be straightforward. Alhamdullilah things work out for the best and he will be here soon.

I just wanted to ask the experts a question...is there a time frame for travelling on the fiance visa? I know we have to get married within 6 months but can he spend eid in pk before travelling over here?

Thanks for all the help.

He can come anytime whilst the visa is valid.Upon arrival get married as soon as possible and apply for FLR .Once granted , he can start working, otherwise you will have to put up with him at home because as a fiance he will not be allowed to work.

Thanks for the reply BatleyKhan.

And you also answered my next question which was going to be do we have to wait for the 6 months to be up before applying for FLR. I'm hoping that the FLR process is more straightforward, but am yet to read up on it!

Many thanks once again.

Change in Processing Status Query

Post by faran » Sun Aug 14, 2011 12:02 pm

Salam Brothers/Sisters

We submitted visa application of our new born on 7th July at Karachi but the status is still showing "application sent to BHC Islamabad".

When does it change to "Application in process" and if doesn't change as ours is it worrying???

Thanks,
Faran

Hi people,

Just wanted to know on the P60 how much money earned will look sufficient for the case?

Is it something like over £10,000?

Hi
Can somebaody tell me what the format for a cover letter will be and what is written in the cover letter. Does it describe your documents and does the information about your relationship also be written in the cover letter
