Hi all,
please i,m eea citizen and i want to invite my mother inlaw from nigeria, she is a house wife , iam the one sponsoring her visit and i,m full time employed with salary of £1300 per month
my questions are : i got only £1500 pounds on bank statement , is that enough to get her visa.
secondly is there any specific amount you must have before issuing a visa.

There is no fixed amount. These decisions are often very arbitrary. A reasonable historical cashflow (previous six months statements) that leaves you with positive bank balance should be sufficient.

One bit of advice also...

If you have any sudden large amounts being put into your account, it is always helpful to the ECO to know what this is from, then they don't think the money has been put in for immigration purposes.

For instance, I sold my car for £800 pounds, two months before my hubby and I applied for his spouse visa, so I wrote an explanation for this.

But like the other say, the last 3 - 6 months worth of bank statements will be a good idea.
