When did you call them to book interview? I mean after how many days of sending the app.
What no. you call and what ref you need?
Apparently you can call and ask them to speed up your application - not sure if you want to try that?Erun wrote:I just used the online request form and got an email back pretty quickly.

Bleh, I'm getting all ansty about getting my documents returned and praying either the Reading or Bristol branch has appts quickly as I have travel I want to do soon. Can't wait until this last stretch of waiting is over!
I thought it was you trying to be impatient? from the quote belowErun wrote:I plan on calling them at the two week mark...try not to be too impatient.
Which city,if you don't mind me asking.Erun wrote:Well I got my documents and interview letter quick enough...but am having to wait 9 days for my appointment. *sigh* Had a long wait for my ceremony and now a longer than average wait for this. Why did I have to live in this silly busy area?
Unless you are planning a holiday soon it would not make sense to travel from reading to Bristol as you would just be adding extra cost to an already hefty sum when you put all your cost together such as ILR, Citizenship, and passport and as the passport is only a travel/identity document then it's not worthwhile spending more than you have to. Once they have not sent back your application or asked for further information and you have been asked to attend an interview then you will definitely get your passport soon after the interview(which is only for identification to ensure you are the person who is named on the application - to prevent fraud) but the passport is not confirmation of citizenship or anything like that as you are already a citizen when you attended your citizenship ceremony and no one can take that away no matter what even if you do not have a passportErun wrote:Reading (when checking their address, I saw they're only open Wed-Sat, so that explains some of it). Bristol didn't have anything sooner. Anything else is getting a bit far considering I don't drive here.

Good luck with sorting out those unpleasant circumstancesErun wrote:Actually I am looking to travel asap and I live in between Bristol and Reading. Both offices were of equal distance. I don't want to go into my personal life here, but getting this passport means ending some unpleasant circumstances, which I'm eager to do.
Whilst Birmingham might be quicker... that's a £70 return train ticket (sheesh!). Yeah, I'll just have to stick it out a bit longer. I've made it this far, another week won't hurt me.
