Speeding Fine - same day service

Post by a_d » Thu Aug 18, 2011 7:47 am

Hi , Hope someone can help!!

I am due to apply for IRL within the next 2 weeks and in 2009 I received a camera speeding fine.

Due to change over in my documents the paperwork was delayed and this clicked over and was heard at court. There was no additional payment or points served.

I am planning on submitting a same day service in Solihull , am I wasting my time and money?

Is there anyone out there who has had experience with this?

Many Thanks
A

its not a problem as long as you declare it.....

probably worth it to send change of circum. form if you have an outstanding app already lodged

HI

With regards the the traffic offence would you please advise when completing my application in personal history my find was a fixed penalty how do i answer this question. I do not see my self as a criminal for a speeding fine.

7.1
Do you or any dependants who are applying with you have any criminal convictions in the UK or any other country (including traffic offences) or any civil judgments made against you?

do i answer yes or no?

Hopefully someone can help

Thanks.

I would say YES and provide details. Even if its not a huge thing, it'd show them that you're honest and have not nothing to hide.

did you have to go to court to get that fixed penalty and points? If you didnt go to court, then you would say NO.

Yes i did go to court due to the change over in my licence and delay in documentation which was clear, the fine was still processed as a fixed penalty of £60 and 3points.

Hope that helps!
