Do you have the same wife ;-)

Hopefully we (even I applied around the same time) should hear some good news this week.

Guys it is my turn right now
the nightmare is gone
just a few minutes ago I have been informed that I got my approval letter and the yellow form.
thanks for everyone in this forum, the ppl who gave me hope the ppl who support me the ppl who guided me and special thank you to Nanette the one who always predict and her prediction come true.

thanks again

and my time frame is as follow

applied on 1 st July 2009 based on 5 years working visa (structural Engineer)

have been laid off on 15/02/2010 and claimed unemployment benefits for 10 months

got a new job on January 2011 my new employer gone into receivership on April 2011 so just I got 3 payslips

sent letter to INIS asking about my status on 04/05/2011 and they replied on 06/05/2011 asking for further documents
I submitted what I have on 10/05/2011

inquired about my status again by phone on 26/05/2011 and they told me that my file is with the minister

got the approval letter on 21/06/2011

its only what's annoying me that my wife applied with in akind of joint application (as she dependent on me) and they still waitting for the garda report.

so thanks you again for everyone who added a post in here and lighten a dark area for me.

and as a promise I will continue to post in here trying to help the other and may be my experience will gave some optimisim to the others

Hello
I applied in January 2009 after living in Ireland on a Student Stamp for five years. My application followed my father's naturalisation in December 2008 giving me Irish Associations.
I received my yellow form and took my oath in June 2011. No further information was requested at any stage.
Good stuff!

Hello everyone,
great forum, many thanks for all your contribution to the topic,
congratulations to all who got the approval, here is my experience:

Applied in Oct 2009 based on 5 year residency, I do not have LTR,
called INIS yesterday to ask about the status of my application:

The answer of a nice Mary: "based on your application number 68/94**/09, I can see you applied in Oct 2009, we are currently looking at May 2009 applications, when we reach yours it will be processed quickly"

No indication of waiting time, they really do not know.
It seems that with the current processing speed of 2000 applications per month, they should reach October 2009 batch in 2 month, assuming they work in a chronological order, in reality it will take longer.

My husband and I both received our letters of intended granting of citizenship. We applied based on 5year residency application, stamp 4, no LTR

Timeline:
Applied July 2009
Received reply in July 2009
Letter requesting payment, GNIB card and photos received last week (mid October 2011)
Info sent today - 26 Oct 2011

Now waiting for details on ceremony to make oath and get certificate. I will post an update when I get the date.

Keep the faith - it felt like we waited for ever.....
