Ringing Citizenship office non stop for 3 weeks.

Post by knapps » Tue Aug 16, 2011 10:41 am

Hello Guys,

I have been ringing Citizenship office on 06232500 every Tuesday and Thursday between 10 and 12:30 but all the time this number is busy.

Do they really answer?
Has anyone been connected yet?

This is such a bad service:(((( in 21st Century

Any idea why they are not answering...

Yes, waiting on acknowledgement.

My application is straight forward no gaps, no criminal record, living in the same house for 7 years, married for 5 and half years, been at work for 6 years, never claim social welfare etc etc

so, i did not need any lawyer....

I think there is only one line open and only one of the Marys or Johns is available to answer your call, rest of them may be on holidays as well.

What happens if one already has garda clearance to do work for the gards or the defence forces etc.

Any idea how one can get a copy of that clearance because they normally don't give you a letter etc personally.

To be honest we cant do anything !! only have to wait i am not sure what rules they have and why they hold application and not issued letter . may be waiting for LTR to be approved and issue letter once LTR done in some cases not sure.

I'm also waiting on an acknowledgement (but just for an updated address) and have written to them twice in the last month or so- I wonder if they're just on hols or something for August? I got my reply to my actual application late last year quite quickly so I'm also wondering what's going on.....
