Some questions on the SET(0) form

Post by kmittal82 » Tue Aug 30, 2011 3:00 pm

Hi,

I was just going through the SET(0) form for my upcoming application for ILR, based on a WP->Tier1->Tier1 (Renewal) route.

I got my first Tier 1 visa before the April 2010 rules (on 05/09/08), and I then renewed it earlier this year, which means the renewal falls under the "post April 2010" date, whereas the original applications falls under the "pre 2010" date.

My question then is, when filling the SET(O) form, which option should I chose (for instance, page 16 has different options depending on if you are claiming points post/pre 2010 rules)? If I chose the post 2010 dates, then it seems I am at a significant disadvantage in terms of the number of points I will gain, which will probably be less than the number of points I gained for my last Tier 1 qualification :(

Thanks in advance

Pre-April 2010 rules should apply to your case as you originally applied before that period. The date of original application is considered and NOT the extension.

Thanks a lot mk537. I guess I got confused by the wording in the SET(O) form
