Processing time UK Tier 4 – VFS – Chennai, India.

Hi Team,
I have submitted my Tier 4 application at VFS Chennai on 16th Dec 2010 and my status as on 30th Dec is - application is under process with British Council.
I would like to know your opinion on how much time it will take and If anyone has received Visa please do post how days it has taken,

Nobody can tell you exact processing time. It can be 1 day to 90 days usually and more in some cases. But UKBA provide some estimates, in the light of theit recent decisions taken. Check the link below:

Scroll down on the page, their is a list of countries, select 'India-Chennai'. See the PBS system Tier 4 line. You will get some idea.

You can use the information provided by the 'Guide to visa processing times' tool, as a guide to how long it may take to process your application, although the information cannot be used as a guarantee of the processing time for your visa. This is because visa applications are assessed individually and individual circumstances can mean processing times may vary.

Hi I and mywife applied for tier4 dependent and tier4 student on January 7th 2011. Please let me know if you get your student visa so that we can get some idea on time lines.

Hi, I had submitted my visa application (Tier 4 General student) at Chennai VFS on 12th Jan 2011 and there is no news yet. The coursde start date is on 24th Jan with an extension till 14th Feb (mentioned in CAS) Please update if there is any news regarding general delay in procesing time. Thanks

No, not yet. I am writing a mail to the BHC as the last date of entry mentioned in CAS is on 14th Feb. I've also written to the University asking if they would consider an extension. So, WAITING for replies and updates!! What about you?

When did you apply your tier4 student visa.

Also please let me know whether you have applied from highly trusted college.

Have you applied from Chenni VFS / Hyderabad VFS.

If i apply from VFS chennai does the processing time will be less when compared to VFS hyderabad.
