Tier 1 extension - Applying 3 months before expiry ?

Hello All,

My visa expiry date is May 16, 2011.

Due to personal reasons I need to apply for an extension some time in Feb 2011, that is almost 3 months before the expiry date.

Will it be an issue ? please confirm .

what is the maximum period in months we can apply for an extension before the expiry date ? I know minimum is around 1 month.

You may apply anytime you wish / choose to.
