Current work permit & HSMP clash

Hi,

Currently my situation is a bit wearied,

- I am in UK on a work permit, which is due to expire Sep 2007
- I am also holding my HSMP, which I haven't got stamped. And the 6 month period during which I have to apply for FLR Application is due to expire in next 10 days.

And I am keen on having my HSMP stamped.

Though being on a WP sponsored by my company, can I get my HSMP stamped?
- If yes,
#what happens to my existing work permit
#what happens to my status i.e. can I still work for my existing employer?

Yes

becomes invalid.

Of course, if you wish to !! Else, change employers which you cannot do unless another employer sponspors a WP for you.
