Hi chimpee,

it was called a accomadation certificate, i would think what youve subbmitted would be fine as you are providing the same documentation for the accomadation as sohni and she had no problems

Yh fingers crossed that's ok!! :D

I'm from bedford! What about u viz?? Where abouts r u from??

Haha sohni what sweets r u making?? Lol

Yh that's what I thought. I think it also depends also on other documents u supply with the application.

Wish I could just go to india and stay with my husband while we wait for a decision but I can't do that as I have to work!

Oh btw - did any of ur guys employers get a phone call confirming employment status??

Im from Leicester.

luckily im in india right now with my wife but travelling up and down from india to uk is a killer !!!

im lucky i can do that as we have our own business.

i dont think they really call your employer but mind you there was 1 case on this forum when they called the sponsers employer but i guess that just to confirm what was written in the application regarding there job.

Chimpee i really dont think you got nothing to worry about and take sohnis advice " enjoy your time with your family till your husband gets there " cos then you got the rest of your married life together

I know the feeling Amy im born British to and have spent more time in india in the last year then in the UK i only go back for work commitments and come straight back, costs a fortune too !!!! Dont understand why they take so long !!!! and no one at the British High Commision is prepared to help or advice you regarding where the application is at, and i thought they are there to help us British born citizens too as well as processing the visas

Really really is a horrible wait !!!

good luck to you and congratulations on your wedding too

P.S. I think you will get your processed visa by next week at the latest as they say it takes upto 12 weeks

Leic-vizn, I agree, they really don't do anything to help us.
I was very ill and with no family to look after me in da uk (u cnt really expect friends to look after u) I sent an email asking them if they could speed up the process a little...I didn't get out of bed for days and couldn't eat anything.
Doctors kept giing me antibiotics!
There response wait 12 weeks.
I then found out that I'm pregnant and I'd been taking strong antibiotics and other medication wwhich could have harmed the baby. Hospitals here are disguisting and private hospitals are no better really.

i hope everythings ok with the baby !! and really hope and you should hear something very soon now !!

You should try calling them too ( its a mission as its takes hours to get through to them looking at previous posts ) and explain your situation.

i really feel your frustration Amy !!

being newly married meant to be a great time and not stressfull as thats how the british high commision makes us feel !!

Hi Amy! Hey Viz! Hey everyone! Lol

Yeah i agree with you. they dont look at the emotional side of it at all! Its not fair to keep husband and wife apart and there doing it. I mean its not even certain that we will get visas after 3 months! If it was guaranteed then the wait woulndt be that bad!!

Amy - are u in india at the moment??

Love to all and good luck again!! xx

I use to work for the coucil first so have showed my wage slips, I now run my own business which I have shown a breakdown in. I have enough to show I can support him and while I'm in india his family are supporting us.
I've shown all my tax docs, my rent slips, my income and bidget sheets. So much hard work.
I'm just really scared even though everyones telling me they cannot refuse over the fact that he overstayed for 6 yrs, he was caught within his 2nd year and told to return by himself..which he did not. Although he has now 4yrs after being caught returned by his own decision.

Chimpee I hope youi don't have to wait too long and that u get the visa.
