Past Earning, need clarification on what to provide, thx

Post by eh1981 » Wed Sep 06, 2006 4:06 am

Hi guys,

For HSMP under 28 application, for the past earnings part, I have the following concern:

I can provide 4 evidence regarding past earnings, they are:

1) past 12 months' salary slips
2) Bank statement for the past 12 months
3) Tax slips covering the past 12 months
4) Salary letter for the latest basic salary starting from this July

All of them are in Chinese

What I planned to do was:
1) translate the 12 month pay slip and notarize the total
2) translate the 12 month bank statement and notarize the total
3) notarize the total amount on the tax slips(in China, the tax slip just show the tax you paid, no gross income is shown)

as the salary letter doesn't show the gross income, I decided not to present it.

I planned to prepare a reconciliation sheet from salary slip to tax deductions to bank statement, but for one of the 12 months, the amount in the bank statement is 500RMB lower than the amount due to me in the salary slip, as the company deducted 500RMB directly from my account for my cash borrowings from the company.

I don't think the company can provide any evidence to support the 500 difference.

I am now concerned about should I just present item 1 and 3 or 1,2 and 3? I am afraid my explanation on the 500RMB will just make my case worse, although it is just a 30 GBP difference. and considering that the tax slip doesn't show the gross income, I am not confident in just presenting ite 1 and 3.

what's your opinion, guys?

Thanks!

Hi eh1981,

As I know tax documents should show your gross income, they should show how much you pay for tax it is depend from your gross income.

I understant that Employer's letter is not good evidence but why you dont want to send it. Dont risk send it too. As many evidence you have as good.

thx, arm, then I guess I will get my salary letter notarized and sent. and for the 500RMB difference, you think it is better to send it too? I feel this is actually a strong evidence afterall.

Hi eh1981,

If you can explain very clear the difference do it if no I think 30 pound is not a big amount and it shouldnt make a problems.

thanks, here I have another question:

for graduate working experience, as I've been working in big 4 accounting firm, could I assume that the caseworker should be aware of what kinda jobs they are?

I planned to have standard reference letter from the companies(I worked for 2 big 4s till now) with no job descriptions, reference letters from senior managers from each company on company letter head, and I also plan to get the campus recruitment ads for big 4s in London to demonstrate that there is strict degree requirement. Do you think it is sufficient?

No its not a good idea.

Try to take reference letter which more detailed your responsibilities.
standard reference letter is not enough.

I am not able to get a more detailed reference letter from my employer, it is the firm policy that only standard form of reference letter will be provided, that is the best I can do :(

en, I noticed that, I have no idea of how to prepare the letter, I planned to send my application before September, but now seems I need more time for my salary slip and the reference letter, really don't know how they decide if the reference is sufficient, I was thinking about that the caseworker should know big 4 and understand that the roles there are definitely graduate level...

Feel frustrated and found that it is becoming harder to get approved... :(
