Hi
I am eligible to apply for ILR on 8 Nov 2011. Though I need to wait until 26 Sep to book slot for 8 Nov (6 weeks in advance), I am bit concerned about online slots availability.
I tried to see slots available in Solihull PEO for October, but none were available. Croydon PEO showed up slots 1 week from now. Is there anything wrong with online booking for Solihull PEO or I need to search at specific times?
Thanks,
Amjad.

As the appointment open only 6 weeks in advance you have to wait till one more week to book the slot in begining of Nov. My case is also simal to you!

The slots open up 6 weeks ahead, to the day. I kept looking a the online system in the couple weeks leading up to it and noticed the pattern, so if it's like it was earlier in the year, it's 6 weeks by phone and 5 weeks plus a few days for online. So 6 weeks before the day I wanted I phoned at 9am and booked a slot.

If I don't select dependents while searching for slots, I can see earliest slot in Solihull on 12 October. With dependents no slots are found. Is that expected?

Why not? Individual / single appointments are different from family appointments!

Well, I thought PEO will maintain a balance between slots for individual applicants and those with dependents. I can see tens of slots for individuals but none for other category. Most of the applicants applying for ILR would have been married and hence I wonder about the bias.

Bias? Perhaps an assumption because you are unable to get hold of one?
How do you (or I or anyone) know that there is no "balance" or if ratio of single to family appointments is 50:50 or 30:70 or 70:30 or ... ? You may just be assuming it to be 70:30 and assuming bias!
It is a known fact that family appointments are hard to get hold of. So keep trying ....

The booking line is useless. They never have any availability so I have stopped phoning.
I was told that appointments are released after midnight so they have already gone by the time the fone line opens.
Apparently for the European slots at Croydon, someone gets up at 2.30 am and books all the slots.

I finally got appointment on 7 November 2011. Looks like probability of getting slots is higher before 6 AM.
