Schengen VISA Query

I have an appointment at Belgian Embassy for Schengen VISA.
I am ILR holder in the UK.

My questions are related to documents that I need to carry

1. Do I need a letter from my employer ?
2. Do I need to show the proof of my travel tickets and accomodation arrangement/travel insurance at the time of VISA appointment
3. Do they give the VISA on a Same day or will take longer

Tickle,
IMHO and based on past experience:

1. You do if you are working mate, what else will proof that you will come back to the UK? Also take a bank statement mate!

2. The first two, you can pass by just having temporary bookings online but the travel insurance needs to be purchased

3. Call the Belgians since every embassy is different. I guess most have one week lead times.
