Confusing ILR case

I’m in dire need of help regarding ILR.
Here is the problem i need advise on:
I got my HSMP visa on 15 June 2007 valid until June 2009
Arrived UK on 31st August 2007
Joined a university as research fellow , however went back home country on 1st Nov 2007 due to a family emergency
Came back UK 10th January 2008 and was employed for one year
Again visited home January 2009 for two weeks
Applied for Visa extension in June 2009 which was rejected, appealed and got visa in Nov 2009 validity until Nov 2012.
Remained jobless from July 2009 to Nov 2009
Got a job in December 2009, Visited home country in March 2010 for two weeks and then again in March 2011 for 4 weeks.
Now working but not sure when to apply for ILR . Please do help me. I'll highly appreciate your advice and suggestions.

It looks like you can apply for ILR anytime after 3 August 2012.
